Super Last-Minute Christmas Gifts

You thought you got everyone. Your list was made in November, you checked everyone off two weeks ago. And then you realize you forgot your great-uncle John on your list. Or your cousin Jenny.

Fear not! There are so many things you can get someone very last-minute. Most of these do not require you to even leave your house (provided you have a printer and some paper or a few other supplies at home already). And just because a gift was last-minute, doesn’t mean it can’t be thoughtful! Here I give you TEN ideas for super last-minute gifts.

  1. I can’t tell you how many times I have gotten Eddie tickets to a show or a concert as a gift – I used to wait until the very last minute so he wouldn’t check the credit card statement and see that I had gotten him something, and this is the perfect last minute gift!
  2. A subscription service: DisneyPlus, Netflix, Hulu, etc. The list goes on!
  3. Neveo Family Album is a great option for older, less tech-savvy relatives. Neveo has an app, and every month you upload photos from the month and add captions to them. At the end of the month, they create a magazine and send it directly to your relative, filled with your photos and captions. You can invite other family members to do this as well, so it’s a great gift to split with siblings for grandparents or aforementioned great-uncle John. We did this for my grandfather one year and he loved it so much. Every time we went over to his house, the magazines were out and visible.
  4. You might have to go to the grocery store for this one, but it’s not the mall or Target, so win I guess? A homemade treat. This salted caramel is the gift that keeps on giving. Gift a mason jar full, tie it with a pretty ribbon, and instruct them to stir a spoonful in their coffee every morning. Ta-Da! Salted Caramel Latte without the Starbucks run. Their tummies and wallets will thank you.
  5. For a family with small kids, a gift card or tickets to the zoo, a children’s museum, the movies, etc. All of those outings can get expensive when you have multiple kiddos, and it’s a great way to get a gift for the whole family.
  6. The gift of your time! A few years ago I gave my mom a homemade certificate that said we would spend a day together doing whatever she wanted. She redeemed it for a day of shopping together and lunch. She LOVED that gift and still talks about it to this day.
  7. For someone who doesn’t really need much – make a donation to a charity that would mean a lot to them in their name. My aunt has done this for our kids before and I love it.
  8. A magazine subscription – there are magazines for literally everyone in your life, including the kids. A subscription is the gift that keeps on giving!
  9. Something crafty. Hit Pinterest and find something cute on there. It might take you a little bit of time, but probably about the same amount of time if you had to go to the mall and scour it for a “perfect” gift.
  10. Have an app you love that has a cost associated with it? Gift that! (If it’s something your loved one will use and enjoy as well) For someone who loves to travel, TripIt helps keep trip details organized, Planoly helps to plan out social media content, Calm is a really popular one.

I hope this helps you with any last-minute gifts you haven’t taken care of! Have more ideas? Leave them in the comments below!

Happy Gifting!

A few more ideas…

I like subscriptions because they are the gift that keeps on giving! These are a monthly reminder of your thoughtfulness, and there are options out there for nearly everyone on your list! If you don’t want to commit to a full year, consider a one-month or three-month gift subscription.

Know someone who loves to read or listen to audiobooks? Consider gifting them an Audible or Book of the Month subscription.
A new mom or expectant mother? Shipt, Instacart, or Amazon Fresh can help her get groceries without leaving the house!
A mom of multiples? How about a subscription to Blueberry Pediatrics? I know in our house it has saved us from having to head out the door to the pediatrician or urgent care on more than one occasion (including twice this past week alone!)
For men? The Dollar Shave Club has awesome products (we are obsessed with their toothpaste!).
Your crafty friend would appreciate Amazon’s Adults & Crafts Subscription Box.
For the beauty lover in your life? Birchbox fits the bill.
