Your Next Read | Verity

I foresee a lot more Colleen Hoover books in my reading future! I recently read It Ends With Us and really enjoyed it. Verity was dark, and a little (okay, a lot) disturbing. But I could NOT put this book down.

Lowen is a struggling writer on the brink of losing everything. Reeling from the death of her mother, she’s given an opportunity that is too good to pass up. Jeremy Crawford, husband of the best-selling author Verity Crawford, has offered her the chance to ghostwrite the remaining books in a series she cannot complete because of an injury.

Lowen arrives at the Crawford’s home ready to sort through her notes and outlines, and instead comes across a chilling autobiography. She keeps it to herself, but when strange things start happening, and she begins to develop feelings for Jeremy, Lowen must decide if sharing the manuscript will be the best thing for all of them.

The ending of this book is just – WOW. I couldn’t put the book down, but the ending left me reeling. It was very well-written, and it was definitely a book I’d put in the thriller category. If you’re looking for something that’s hard to put down, definitely check this one out.
