Your Next Read | The Quiet Girl

I borrowed The Quiet Girl by S.F. Kosa from Libby as part of the Big Library Read program they were promoting this summer.

This book was pretty dark. A thriller with a wicked twist, it is not a book that I can say has a happy ending. I enjoyed it, but be warned that there are themes of sexual abuse in here. If that’s a trigger for you, then I’d probably suggest staying away from this book.

After an argument with his new wife, Alex shows up at a property she uses for writing to patch things up with her. He finds her wedding ring and an empty glass of wine in the sink. He tries to piece together where his wife has gone, and finds nothing but unanswered questions. The police think she has run off, but Alex isn’t so sure. He goes on a quest of his own to find the truth, and comes across a young woman who shares some crucial information with him. What she reveals tells Alex that his wife has been keeping some big secrets, many of which she can’t even remember. He’ll find out what happens when quiet girls finally spill their secrets.
