Your Next Read | Talk Bookish to Me

After finishing The Rose Code, I knew I needed something light and easy to read. Because Valentine’s Day was coming up, I thought a romance fit the bill. I finished Talk Bookish to Me in two sittings, so it was exactly what I wanted and needed.

Talk Bookish to Me by Kate Bromley centers around Kara Sullivan, an author and bookstagrammer living in New York. While fully immersed in maid of honor duties for her best friend’s wedding amid a looking publication deadline, her ex waltzes back into her life. After a contentious first meeting, her writer’s block is suddenly lifted, and she thinks that Ryan is the key to getting her writing flowing again. Will she finish her book and write her own happy-ever-after in the meantime?

This was a really cute book – I thought the writing was easy to follow and the enemies to lovers trope always gets me! The banter was great between the characters, and I loved how Kara’s identity as an author has so much to do with the story line.

Bottom line: If you’re looking for a fun, light read with a slightly predictable, albeit enjoyable ending, then I would definitely recommend this one!

xoxo
