I’m so glad you decided to stop by! I’d love to photograph those special moments in your life. For ten years, I was a middle school teacher. I truly loved teaching. However, when I began teaching, I was given the task of putting together the school yearbook. I already had a small love for photography and creating beautiful images, but that love grew even more while I was documenting the lives of the children all around me.
I learned so much about composition and about capturing my students and my coworkers in their natural element – nobody wants a yearbook full of posed group shots where everyone is looking at the camera. After investing in my own personal equipment, I had friends and family request that I bring my camera along to document special events. From there, people offered to pay me for my work and I continued to grow as a photographer.
In 2015, my husband and I welcomed our son, Caleb, into our family. I left the classroom to take care of him, but I continued taking photos because I needed an outlet. Over the last nine years of capturing memories, I have grown immeasurably, and I feel like I learn something every day. I truly enjoy capturing special moments, and the final product always makes me thrilled. I get a little rush every time I see my images printed or being shared by my clients, and the joy people express when they receive their photos makes every click of my shutter worth it. My goal is for this to remain an affordable, fun, and pleasing option for all those involved, including myself!
