I’m a wife and mom of two – a boy named Caleb and a girl named Chloe. After having my son, I left my career as a teacher to become a stay-at-home mom. While I loved getting to experience all of his growth, I missed having connections with people and having something to call my own. My blog was born out of a need to connect with people outside the walls of my house.

A Toddler & A Topknot is more than just a blog or an Instagram account. It is a community I am proud to have built over the last few years. with an emphasis on motherhood and what that means for us as women. As moms, we tend to forget ourselves, and it is my hope that I can remind you to care for yourself as well as those around you. You’ll find posts about parenting, but also posts about beauty, style, home decor, and everything in between.

When I began teaching, I was tasked with putting together the school yearbook. I already had a small love for photography and creating beautiful images, but that love grew even more while I was documenting the lives of the children all around me. When I left the classroom,  I continued taking photos because I needed an outlet. I have now been capturing memories for nearly ten years, and I truly love what I do.

I am a lifestyle photographer, and I love capturing natural moments between families. Elaborate setups are wonderful, but what I want to capture is love, connection, and emotion. I also enjoy doing work for brands, both personal and product-based.
