I’ve already discussed how Colleen Hoover quickly became a favorite for me. I blew through this one in several hours, because I kept wanting to know what would happen next. Hoover’s books usually have an unexpected twist and I always enjoy a book that keeps me guessing.

At 21, Auburn has already lost so many things that are important to her. She has goals in mind and she has no room for error while she rebuilds her life. But when she walks into a Dallas art studio in search of a job, the last thing she expects is to form a deep connection with the artist who works there, Owen Gentry.

She lets go and lets her heart take over, only to find out that Owen is keeping a secret from her. Will his past destroy everything she has worked so hard for? Or will she cut him out to keep herself on track? All he needs to do is confess, but his confession might cause more damage than the sin.
